Washrooms and toilets in buildings providing a facility for the public or employees are
recognised as being often difficult to keep “fresh” and “sweet” smelling, due to either the
sheer volume of traffic using the facility between times of maintenance cleaning, or due
simply to abuse by patrons.
Where obnoxious odours are encountered FRAGRANT BLOCKS can provide a
solution.
FRAGRANT BLOCKS are solid deodorants, designed for use in washrooms, toilet
cubicles and urinals as odour suppressants, and air fresheners.
Incorporating paradichlorobenzene, fragrance and other special ingredients,
FRAGRANT BLOCKS go to work quickly replacing unpleasant odours with fragrances
more pleasing to the senses.
Produced in the form of solid blockette and coloured for identification purposes, the
mere physical presence of the blockette is a guarantee of washroom comfort. Each
blockette weights approximately 50g.
FRAGRANT BLOCKS do not provide any cleaning action and should not be used as a
substitution for effective chemical cleaning or disinfecting. The use of blockettes should
be seen as an integral step in providing good housekeeping in a “problem” area.
The blockettes go to work immediately; they are exposed to the atmosphere. As they
evaporate in use, the life span of a blockette is dependant mainly on the flow of air
around the block. A high air flow generates a fast rate of evaporation. Blockettes are
not affected by water.
FRAGRANT BLOCKS may be placed directly into urinals or strategically positioned
else-where in the washroom or toilet cubicle. They should not be placed in contact with
painted timber as the paint may be affected. They will not affect stainless steel,
porcelain or ceramic surfaces.
FRAGRANT BLOCKS will not upset the bacterial balance in septic tanks and are
recommended for use with both sewerage and septic systems.
